All For a Few Good Waves

Starring David (and Ola) Carson, it’s expertly produced and directed by Dress Code (New York). The team shot the footage at David’s house in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) over a couple of years using a Red Epic, a GoPro Hero3, and a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera.

A DJI Phantom Drone was flown for aerial shots with the GoPro Hero3 attached. One drone was crashed and broke, which is the footage you see where the camera goes underwater. Pretty amazingly, the GoPro was still filming when it washed ashore after a few hours.

I enjoyed watching that.

  1. I’ve always liked David Carson. I should dust off my boards now that the weather’s getting better and float about and fall off in the sea again!

    1. Sounds swell, Richard.

  2. I’ve always admired David Carson’s work, since way back before I started in the design profession. There’s an edge about it that some part of me wishes it could replicate.

    Thanks for sharing, David.

  3. I love seeing folks that are able to strike a balance between creating and living life. Maybe there is hope for me and others. Anyways thanks for sharing.
